Marietta started in 2011 when Ethan asked Evan if he wanted to start a band. They wrote some songs together that sounded pretty good, but then one of them said, “drums would probably make this sound better.” Evan and Ethan had a party at their college house and Andrew showed up. In a fit of drunken confidence, Andrew said, “I’ll play drums for you.” A few days later, they had their first practice. Then they played a few shows, but then one of them said, “bass would probably make this sound better.” So Andrew asked his long time friend and old band mate, Ben, if he wanted to play bass. And Ben said, “I’ll play bass for you.”
And then they were a fully formed band. And then they played even more shows. And then they released two albums. And then in 2015 they broke up.
Now it’s 2025 and they decided to play a few shows.
