| Hellos! We are delighted to report that after almost two years of planning and renovation – BOOT & SADDLE opens this Monday September 9th. For those not in the the know Boot & Saddle was an old country bar which closed up shop in 1995 and remained shuttered ever since. We began renovations early in the year and can not wait to finally show it off next week! With so many of our friends and staff living in South Philly Philly, we are thrilled to bring a live music venue along South Broad St.Boot & Saddle will be open 7 days a week with a front bar and restaurant that holds about 60 people. In the rear of the room, through a large set of double doors you enter the music hall / venue portion of Boot & Saddle. It holds 150 people and features a the same d&b soundsystem that has been installed in Union Transfer (obviously a smaller version). We are quite confident this will be your new favorite place in Philadelphia to check out a show.Upcoming shows include : Ted Leo & Aimee Mann, Grails, Elf Power, Palma Violets, Quasi (feat Janet from Sleater Kinney), Nightmares On Wax, Crocodiles, Far-Out Fangtooth and lots more. We are keeping it chill with 10-15 shows a month but our front bar & restaurant will be open everyday. So come out to a show next week or sometime this fall! The other exciting news this week is that we have announced the dates for our biggest event of the year the HOLIDAY EDITION of THE PUNK ROCK FLEA MARKET – Saturday December 14th and Sunday December 15th. Yes! Two days with completely different sellers each day. Thats over 500+ vendors selling everything imaginable from old records, skateboards, crafts, vintage clothing etc. Your admission donation gets you into both days as well as the big Record Riot (show) across the street. It’s the best place to get that unusual holiday gift for your friends, family and loved ones. Table reservations begin this Saturday at noon at R5Productions.com There are a bunch of new shows below.
