R5 Productions
Hellos –
Get ready! Our biggest event of the year is only a few days away. Winner of the 2013 Philadelphia City Paper Reader’s Choice Award Winner for “Best Festival / Gathering” – it’s THE PUNK ROCK FLEA MARKET

Now stretched out over two days. 500+ different vendors selling old records, clothes, art, music, food, junk, bicycles, stereo equipment, instruments, automobiles, tools, posters, furniture, computers, skateboards and lots of other stuff.Completely different vendors each day. No repeats. Each day will have entirely different tables. So make it out to both, if you can. Your $3 donation gets you into both days.

It’s the greatest people watching of all time and somehow was featured in national men’s magazine as one of the best places in the country to meet a boy/girlfriend. (we are still totally weirded out by that). As always we’ll have a bunch of food trucks and all sorts of other nonsense to keep you entertained.

As with every year we’ll be selling our famous super limited R5 10 show pass which gets you (and your friends) into ten upcoming R5 shows in 2014 (even sold out ones). Get there early as we typically sellout of them in the first 15 minutes. Makes for a great gift.

Saturday December 14th + Sunday December 15th 10am-5pm
at The Punk Rock Flea Market Dome (aka the old FedEx building)
9th and Spring Garden Streets
All Ages / $3 Entry Donation Gets You Into Both Days

Food Provided by :

For the other 363 days of the year we book concerts. And we just announced one that we are way excited about : MISSION OF BURMA return to one of their favorite venues ever, The First Unitarian Church to play an intimate show on Feb 8th. Tickets on-sale this Friday.

As you may have noticed over the past year or so we have been bringing over talented young composers from all over the world. We have a very special guest coming on April 27th when we welcome German pianist and composer HAUSCKA plays the First Unitarian Church’s Sanctuary. Best known for his compositions for prepared piano. Check out this recent performance for NPR – It’s literally one of the coolest things we have ever seen when it comes to playing the piano.

We also added new shows for The Men, San Fermin, We Are The In Crowd and a special intimate evening with Skream over at The Dolphin.

Over at Union Transfer we just added new shows for : The War On Drugs * Phospherscent * The Black Angels w/ Roky Erickson * Pissed Jeans * Deerhunter * World Inferno Friendship Society * Murder City Devils and a very special evening with Beach House teaming up with the vocalists of Grizzly Bear, Fleet Foxes and The Walkmen to cover Gene Clark’s No Other. Info on all of these shows can be found over on the Union Transfer site.

One quick last note : One of our favorite bands is playing in Philadelphia next week (one of only two US shows) and it’s only $2!!  DFA Recording Artists, FACTORY FLOOR are playing Making Time’s $2 Bill Party – Saturday December 14th. A perfect after-party after you do all of your holiday shopping at The Flea Market. More info can be found HERE. We highly recommend you see them live!
