FARMER’S WIFE

Bubble-grunge rock band Farmer’s Wife materialized in Austin, Texas in September 2021. The quintet (Jude Hill, Molly Masson, Jaelyn Valero, Jacob Masson, and Derek Ivy) is known for their splintering riffs, twisted tales, and haunting performances. Full of nostalgia for 90’s alternative-rock, you may find yourself at a Farmer’s Wife show moshing, swaying, thinking about your ex, and pondering the deeper meanings of life.

FLATWAVES

Flatwaves is a Philadelphia-based 4-piece garagegaze band on Abandon Everything Records. Their sound is haunting and dreamy with reverb-drenched guitars, heavy back beats, and cavernous vocals.

Drawing on influences ranging from L.A. Witch to A Place to Bury Strangers to Black Angels to Nothing, they’ve developed a hazy and dark wall of sound that is equal parts weird Americana, shoegaze, garage rock, doomgaze, and contemporary psychedelia.

This is music that aims for disorientation, just skirting the collective unconscious. Perhaps it was said best by one show-goer:

“Thank God I wasn’t on acid for that set.”

NAVE

Wanting to express their intense emotions, hardcore guitarist Maddi Nave leads the charge in the alternative rock group Nave. Blending tastes of catchy leads and driving intimate choruses, the Philadelphia based band holds nothing back when it comes to wanting to be heard.
