NEWFOUND INTEREST IN CONNECTICUT

Newfound Interest In CT. is a Post-rock/North-East Emo band from Toronto. Formed in 2000, they played DIY shows with bands like Alexisonfire, Silverstein, Death From Above 1979, Appleseed Cast, the Constantines, and the Arcade Fire. The band’s final show in 2005 was also the official release of their debut LP ‘Tell Me About the Long Dark Path Home’. Against all odds, the album found its audience online years later which has led to the album’s repressing on vinyl in 2021. This will be the group’s first performances together in 19 years, and first ever US shows.

SONAGI

Sonagi is the romanization of the Korean word 소나기 which means “sudden rain showers.” Sonagi’s songs hit like a typhoon, drenching the listener in melody and dissonance. Guitarist/vocalist Harim Jung and lead vocalist Ryann Slauson met forging a friendship through involvement in DIY, forming Sonagi with drummer Keean Mansour, and completing the lineup in 2022 with guitarist Eric Mauro and bassist Jin Woo Lee. Sonagi’s Everything Is Longing is due through Jeremy Bolm’s (Touché Amoré) Secret Voice label; a collection of songs concerning desire, jealousy, lack, and shame, focusing on multiple dimensions of grief, loss, and the “impossible task” of trying to heal without logic or closure, while also examining what it means to be a trans person, the experience of what you were before, what and who you have known yourself to be, what and who you wish you were, and how it becomes true and real.

PYRE

Pyre is a 5-piece gender affirming skramz band from New Jersey and Philadelphia that writes songs about being trans and hating cops and loving dogs.
