We walk rebel way! Keep on stay punk!! After almost 30 years Rocky and the Sweden are finally stepping foot on US soil for their first overseas tour. Rocky is without doubt my favorite Japanese HC band of the last couple decades, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to host them in Philly, and with such a flawless lineup in tow, and on a fuckin Saturday, and at the fuckin’ world famous Cousin Danny’s! If you don’t know Rocky and the Sweden, they feature ex and current members of Bastard, Systematic Death, Headless, etc. have released 3 flawless full length records in the last 25 years as well as a number of singles and EPs, all of which are worth listening to in preparation for this top notch gig.
Inmates started in Cleveland in 1994 and for some reason still exist. Currently the entire original lineup is playing together. 24 years on an off playing even with some members living in different states. More a family than a band. Only released 5 records in that entire time. What losers hahaha
Three years after their vinyl debut, 2020’s Echoes of Life, comes Destruct’s second album, Cries the Mocking Mother Nature. The band continues to pay respects to their raw hardcore influences, with greater emphasis on 80’s Swedish mangel and brutal late 90’s Japanese crust hardcore, in addition to the always present nod to British pioneers Disaster and Doom.
