| Hellos – Hopefully by now you know that our new establishment BOOT & SADDLE is now open in South Philadelphia. For those who don’t, we encourage you to come check it out. It’s a 60 seat bar and restaurant in the front and a separate 150 capacity venue in the back room. You don’t need to ticket to grab a bite to eat or drink in the front room, even when there is a show going on. It’s a pretty cool / unique setup and we think you’ll really like it. (ps. food service begins Next Friday September 20th)With the opening of Boot & Saddle, we now have a number of different rooms that R5 is affiliated with : Union Transfer, The Dolphin Tavern and Morgan’s Pier. With all the events and shows taking place at those locations + the other R5 shows at The First Unitarian Church, Johnny Brenda’s etc. – our listings are getting to be really long and overwhelming. At last check we had 125 events listed on the R5 site for just the next two months.So, in an effort to sort of make sense of it all and better organize our calendars, we have re-designed our website. We have added a a new drop down menu bar to separately view all of our shows at Union Transfer, Boot & Saddle, Morgan’s Pier and The Dolphin (illustrated below)  In order to see the listings for those venues you must use the drop down menu. For our shows at The First Unitarian Church, Johnny Brendas, The Barbary etc. They will appear as usual on the website as “R5 Productions Shows”.This will also apply for the R5 mailing list. We are no longer going to list ALL of the shows at Union Transfer, Boot & Saddle etc. We encourage you to sign up for those mailing lists separately. We hope with these slimmed down listings we can better focus on the smaller more experimental and unique artists from around the worlds who we are bringing to Philadelphia (like Olafur Arnalds).Okay so that’s about it. We’ll be casually reminding you of this over the next few weeks so you don’t think we have suddenly canceled all of our shows at Union Transfer and Boot & Saddle.
