Oh boy! We are finally back!
As you may have heard, we are happy to bring back our semi-annual R5 PUNK ROCK FLEA MARKET, Sat Dec 8 and Sun Dec 9. We found a new venue that will be around for years to come – THE CHERRY STREET PIER. Unlike our old spot it has nice bathrooms, real food and few different bars. Yep, you can drink at this one! A family friendly location, right downtown in a refurbished historic building along Philadelphia’s waterfront. We recommend checking out the pier on instagram or even better…in person!
This upcoming flea will be smaller than our usual ones with 50 vendors each day. We want to figure out the vendor setup, spacing, parking etc. It seems a much better idea to start with a smaller event, take some notes, regroup and get ready for a massive one in the spring (spanning several locations)
We still have 100 vendors spread out over the two dates. 50 different vendors each day (no repeats!) and its FREE FREE FREE FREE. No cover charge or donation. We hand picked our vendors for this go around, so expect all the usual vintage, records, and crazy nonsense from years past.
Worth a quick mention : We had *nothing* do with with any of the “punk rock flea markets” that were being hosted outside of the old Fed Ex building in recent years (ie Armory, Bok Building etc). That was another organizer / former vendor. We received a lot of notes of the past few years. That was not us. We are the original, longtime Punk Rock Flea organizers (since 2003)! |
