It is finally upon us! The great PUNK ROCK FLEA MARKET HOLIDAY EDITION. It’s going to be the biggest one ever! THREE DAYS. 700+ vendors (no repeats / new sellers each day) and we have THE PHILADELPHIA RECORD RIOT, a record show with 60+ dealers from the east coast + a bunch of food trucks, snacks, drinks.
It’s the greatest people watching of all time, winner of the Philadelphia City Paper Reader’s Choice Award Winner for “Best Festival / Gathering” and somehow was featured in a ridiculous men’s magazine as one of the best places to meet a significant other. LOVE WILL BE IN THE AIR. If you don’t find a new partner for the holidays, you can at least buy a weird gift for your family, friends and loved ones.
As with every year, we’ll be selling our famous and super limited 10 show pass which gets you (and friends) into ten upcoming R5 shows in 2014. Get there early as we typically sellout in the first 5 minutes. In addition we have a pretty great sale going on for all of our shows : $3 off every ticket / show (including Union Transfer and Boot & Saddle) available only in person at the flea market for the first two hours of Friday, Saturday and Sunday’s market.
Super Insane Added Bonus : We’ll be doing a scavenger hunt for TWO LIFETIME PASSES which will get you and your teammate into every one of our shows for free for the rest of your lives!! Yes. Really! Full instructions / list of funny things you have to do will be distributed on Friday Dec 11th (first day of the market) at 6pm. All entries must be submitted before the flea market ends on Sunday at 5pm (full details will be given at the flea market) In addition we made the Friday (Dec 11th) night market FREE! You have no excuse to not come and check it out! On Saturday and Sunday we will be asking for a $3 entry donation with proceeds benefiting the amazingGIRLS ROCK PHILLY organization. Girls Rock Philly is a volunteer-based non-profit music and mentoring organization dedicated to empowering girls and young women from the greater Philadelphia region through music education and activities that foster leadership skills, creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration. It’s an amazing program!! 100 young woman attend their summer camp ever year, with about a quarter of them on a need based scholarships. The demand for need based scholarships has increased and we are happy to announce that funds from this Holiday Flea Market will go to directly paying for 10-20 young Philadelphian’s tuition next year. We hope to see you at one or all three days of the flea market this year. It’s a really fun and positive event that is a lot of fun to host. See you this weekend! xo/r5 |
