Hellos –
The fall shows keep on coming, including hometown heroes MAN MAN doing TWO HALLOWEEN shows to celebrate their record release this fall at Union Transfer. Get ready for the best / worst costumes ever. No more “Green Man” please. We’ll be announcing a bunch of special guests and surprises for both shows. On Halloween proper (Oct 31st) KING KHAN & THE SHRINES are on the bill, which already makes it the best Halloween show in town. Just wait till we announce the other bands. Tickets for both the October 30th and 31st shows go on-sale this Friday.Speaking of hometown shows, Philadelphia’s HOP ALONG seems to be blowing up and we are very proud! They’ll be headlining the Church September 3rd with THE SIDEKICKS.

Big deal – the almighty SPIRITUALIZED are coming to town September 9th.  You know it’s going to sound amazing and ridiculous inside Union Transfer. You will be hard pressed to find beauty and misery done so well together. This is the can’t miss show of September for sure. Remember that Philadelphia Weekly article about how their show at Silk City made everyone addicted to heroin? Hopefully that won’t happen again.

Super tight Barcelona bros DELOREAN are coming back to The First Unitarian Church on October 22nd. We promise this will be the most fun show at the church this fall. Super fun, bouncy, electronic jams. The last time they played The Church they all tried Four Loco for the first time, got super drunk, wrestled each other and then we discovered they loved Karate, His Hero Is Gone and The Lapse. That’s when we became best friends. We re going to make them the most drunk this night, so please come out to the party!

Two more church shows : up and coming UK young man singer / songwriter TOM ODELL will be at The First Unitarian Church on September 18th. SCREAMING FEMALES and WAXAHATCHEE are going to team up and make the internet explode when they play together September 29th at The Church. All the famous people seem to love Waxahatchee including the woman from Girls (tv show) and Tegan and Sara. We cant wait to see either at a West Philly house show soon!

And we added two more shows to the upcoming calendar for our new South Philly venue – SAN FERMIN and JENNY HVAL. Two new young people / bands that we are going to expect lots from. We’ll have lots more info for The Boot & Saddle in a few weeks. Maybe even some pictures. Get stoked!

That’s all for this week. Hope to see you soon!
