Cheater Slicks started in 1987 in Boston. The band was comprised of the same members still playing today- Tom Shannon, David Shannon and Dana Hatch.
The band released 3 LPs and many singles in the Boston days, Including an LP produced by Jon Spencer in 1995.
The Slicks relocated to Columbus, Ohio in 1996 where they remain to this day. Known for wild, loud and intense live shows, the band shows a more diverse song writing approach in the studio.
Now entering their 38th year, Cheater Slicks continue to play in the wild, primitive garage punk psych style they first developed in the late 80’s, but now with an added element of abstraction and heaviness.
